Dead By April is a modern metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden.
The band released a demo in 2007 and another in 2008, and they both leaked out to several peer-to-peer-sites. During this time they also played in local venues around Gothenburg. The demo also spawned one radio single, Falling Behind. In 2008, the band received two awards, both for Best Newcomer, on “Swedish Pop Awards” and “Bandit Rock Awards”
Their first single “Losing You” was released 6 March, 2009 at their MySpace page. The song gained attention to the band by being background music to Expedition Robinson 2009. Amaranthe is a Swedish/Danish band, originated from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 2008 that fuses melodic metal with pop melodies. Formed by Jake E (Dreamland, Dream Evil) and Olof Mörck (Dragonland, Nightrage), the project began taking shape, when singers Elize Ryd (toured with Kamelot) and Andreas Solvestrom (Cipher System, Within Y), signed on, as did drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (The Cleansing, Koldborn, Mercenary). Bassist Johan Andreassen (Engel) joined after the photoshoot for the Leave Everything Behind demo but before the recording of the first album Amaranthe.

Lars Winnerbäck is one of the most popular Swedish singers/songwriters of the last decade. He started off with a folk-pop sound but moved towards rock in the late 90's. In his most recent work he has again moved towards a more acoustic style. Originally from Linköping, he later moved to Stockholm to help his career take off. Carolina Wallin Pérez (born August 4, 1982 in Mellerud, Sweden) is a Swedish pop and jazz singer. Perez became known through the music site MySpace and was signed shortly thereafter to Family Tree Music (distributed by Sony Music).
She debuted in 2009 with the album Pärlor och svin, with covers of Kent songs. The album peaked at location 23 on the Swedish album chart, with the best-selling single, Utan dina andetag, reaching number 30 on the Swedish singles chart. The album was produced by Fredrik Okazaki Bergstrom and was recorded by Kent's producer Stefan Boman. Timoteij is a four member ethno-pop group from Sweden formed in 2008. The group consists of Cecilia Kallin (from Falköping), Bodil Bergström (from Skara), Elina Thorsell (from Skövde) and Johanna Pettersson (from Tibro), all born in 1991.
