Black Summer 2012

Entombed is a death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden which formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. In 1989 they changed their name to Entombed. Though Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include hard rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as Death 'n' Roll, of which Entombed remains arguably the best-known example.

Entombed's debut album was Left Hand Path, a cult favorite that established the band as a popular death metal band. The follow-up, Clandestine, was just as popular. These first two albums were unique in that they featured what was sometimes referred to as an "chain saw" guitar sound. It was c...

Sister Sin also toured Europe with Arch Enemy and played at festivals like Sweden Rock and Norway Rock. Crazy Lixx

Crazy Lixx is a Swedish hard rock band formed in 2002 in Malmö, Sweden.

The core line-up up until the first album consisted of vocalist Danny Rexon (also known as Dirtchild Danny or D.C. Danny), guitarist Vic Zino, drummer Joey Cirera and bass player Luke Rivano. The current line-up features guitarist Andy Dawson in Vic Zino's place.

They were among the first bands to emerge in what has been known as "The New Wave of Swedish Sleaze" along with bands such as CRASHDÏET, Hardcore Superstar, Babylon Bombs and Vains of Jenna but just like their fellow genre-mates, Crazy Lixx have formed their own style and are now considered to be more of an 80's influenced hard rock band.

The Nomads

Several bands over the years have recorded under the name The Nomads.

With over 40 singles and 12 full length recordings over a career spanning almost 30 years, the most prolific and certainly the most long-standing act recording and performing under the name The Nomads is the Swedish rock band whose original members were Hans Östlund (guitar), Nick Vahlberg (bass/guitar and vocals) and Joakim Tärnström (guitar/bass). With drummer Ed Johnson they cut their first single "Psycho" in 1981. Their first album, the mini-LP "Where the Wolfbane Blooms" followed in 1983. The band arguably has made a greater impact overseas than in their native country with their uncompromising guitar-based rock in the tradition of The Hives, Sator, Hel...
