Carbon Based Lifeforms

Carbon Based Lifeforms (also known as CBL) is an electronic music duo made up of Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Segerstad (born Ringström), both born in 1976 and based in Göteborg, Sweden. They met at the age of 15 and are still working together, almost 20 years later. CBL itself was formed in 1996, as an offshoot from other projects, but soon became their focal point, culminating in their first release on in 1998.

It is hard to categorise CBL’s music but the best description might be that of a groundbreaking mixture of acid, techno and trance music. The term acid/ambient has also been coined.

Kettel (NL)

Kettel is Reimer Eising (born 1982), a self-described "elixir-brewing, camping-loving and musicmaking sorcerer-to-be." He is well-known for his playful, spontaneous melodies and organic folk sounds similar to Aphex Twin, Jega, and Plaid.

Kettel has frequently performed live in his home country of the Netherlands, including at the Virus festival in Eindhoven, the Dutch Electronic Arts Festival in Rotterdam, and at Eurosonic and Noorderzon in his home town of Groningen. He has also collaborated on several projects of various remixes and compilations on his many record labels.

The Bug (UK)

1. The Bug is the main current music project of London-based producer Kevin Martin. Kevin has been a part of a number of groups including Techno Animal, The Sidewinder, God, Ice, Curse of the Golden Vampire, Zonal, King Midas Sound, Black Chow, Cult of the 13th Hour, Pressure and Experimental Audio Research through which he's experimented with fusing such diverse genres as grindcore, industrial, metal, hip-hop, dub, jazz and ambient. The Bug's music draws influence from dancehall, noise, grime, and hip hop. More subdued influences would include dubstep and the dubtronica and broken techno of Basic Channel and Pole.

Hardfloor (DE)

Hardfloor are the Berlin, Germany based duo Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker. Hardfloor are best known for the Acid Techno track Acperience 1, one of the genre's defining records and a key influence on the trance sound that dominated European techno through the 90s.

They have also recorded under the aliases Da Damn Phreak Noize Phunk, Low Budget and Techno Trash. Both Bondzio and Zenker were (and remain) members of other dance groups.

Minus (IS)

There is more than one artist with this name:

1) Hardcore band from Santa Barbara, California, featuring members of Violation, Backtrack, Fell To Low and Downpresser. All recordings available to stream, download and purchase on their Bandcamp.

2) Hardcore band from Iceland. This band is actually called "Mínus" (pronounced Mee-noose) with an accent over the "I" rather than Minus.

3) For the last few years, Minus (real name Daniel Stanciu) has been doing all sorts of stuff like Chiptune, Glitch, Dub and experimental Hip Hop.
