Mama Viol sometimes advertise themselves as "Progg för Generation X", where "progg" is the name of the Swedish political music movement of the 70's. This classification fits the band's mix of clever lyrics, often with a political or social theme, and their refusal to provide any simple answers to complex questions. Loke Nyberg is a Swedish singer and song writer. He lives in Gothenburg, but is found 7 p.m. in "Nordergravar" outside the north wall of "ringmuren", Visby, most evenings during week 32. His music is of the Swedish category called "vismusik", quite close to folk music. Many Irish pub songs are very close to vismusik.
