October Tide

October Tide is a melodic death doom metal band founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1994 by Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman (of Katatonia). They released two full-length albums: Rain Without End (recorded in 1995, yet released only in 1997 on Vic Records) and Grey Dawn (1999, originally on Avantgarde, re-issued in 2007 via Peaceville) before disbanding because their "inspiration ran dry" and because Renkse & Norrman decided to fully concentrate on Katatonia instead.

In late 2009 however, despite staunchly refusing the notion of future material for an astounding 11 years, Fred Norrman announced he was leaving Katatonia and had reformed October Tide. Joining him were Tobias Netzell (of In Mourning) on vocals, Robin Bergh on drums a...

In Mourning

In Mourning are a progressive/melodic death metal band from Falun, Sweden, formed in 2000. They started out as a more gothic metal oriented band before developing into their current style. They recorded 5 demos, "In Mourning" (2000), "Senseless" (2002), "Need" (2003), "Confessions of the Black Parasite" (2004) and "Grind Denial" (2006) before signing to Norwegian label Aftermath Music. Their first album "Shrouded Divine" was released on January 2nd, 2008. The album was extremely well-received, especially considering it's a debut album.

In May 2009 the band announced that they signed a 2-album deal with Singaporian label Pulverised Records. Recordings for the 2nd album took place in August 2009 at Black Lounge studios in Avesta...

Demonical was spawned in March 2006 - by former Centinex members Johan Jansson (guitars & vocals), Martin Schulman (bass) and Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) - with a mission to return to the roots of death metal and deliver a sheer dose of darkness and brutality.

The first audio assault - a four track promo attack entitled "Bloodspell Divine" - was recorded at Necromorbus Studios during July the same year. The disc packed with true swedish hellfire received great reviews and reactions within the scene and led to several offers from interested labels.
