Promise and the Monster

Promise and the Monster is the moniker of Billie Lindahl, a singer-songwriter from Uppsala/Stockholm, Sweden who has made her rounds in twee pop (Carmine St.) and post-rock (Shore for Shelters). The debut ep Antarktis hit the stores in summer 2007. The debut full-lenght album Transparent Knives was released September 19, 2007 on Imperial Recordings.

Lctrisc

LCTRISC call their music “Maximal”, which is explained as: “A crazy fusion dance music and garage noise. Guitar riffs cut into pieces in symbiosis with cheap drum samples and midi synths. And a banana shaker.”

Lenny and Leslie form the duo LCTRISC and have found their own way of mixing electronica with rock vibes, crazy playfulness, hooky guitar and synth figures and heavy beats.

Lisa o Piu

Lisa Issaksson, otherwise known as Lisa O Piu (Piu roughly translating as ‘and more‘ relating to her band Piu), grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Stockholm in her native Sweden where she spent her time in horse stables dreaming of becoming a riding teacher and owning her own stables. When she wasn’t with the horses she was drawing them, a passion that is reflected in her music today. As Lisa grew older and discovered music the drawings of horses soon became song lyrics and it wasn’t long before Lisa had rescued her mothers old guitar from a life in the attic and began experimenting with her voice and song.
