1) Behemoth is a Polish blackened death metal band from Gdańsk. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground, alongside bands such as Vader, Decapitated, Vesania and Hate. Over the years Behemoth has moved from traditional black metal into blackened death metal and then into modern death metal with each consecutive release. They have released 9 full length albums so far.
The band was formed in 1991 as a trio, starting with raw and primitive black metal rehearsal tapes (Endless Damnation) and demos (The Return of the Northern Moon), the most significant of which was the second one—...From the Pagan Vastlands (1993)...
Tiamat is a metal band that formed in Täby, Sweden in 1988. Their music has been the subject of debate, utilizing subgenres like death metal, doom metal, progressive and gothic, but more recently they have focused on what has been described as atmospheric gothic metal with ethnic, psychedelic and experimental elements.
Initially, the band played straightforward black metal under the name Treblinka. After having recorded the album Sumerian Cry in 1989, vocalist/guitarist Johan Edlund and bassist Jörgen Thullberg parted ways with the other two founding members, and subsequently changed the name to Tiamat. The Sumerian Cry album, as recorded by Treblinka, was released as Tiamat's debut album in June 1990.
Turbonegro (known as Turboneger in Norway) is a Norwegian punk rock band from Oslo, formed in 1989. The band describes themselves as "death punk." The band started with Thomas Seltzer (the bassist, Happy-Tom as he is also called) setting up a band with some friends, called Akutt Innleggelse. They played some local concerts, and made an EP, including 3 songs, "CIA/KGB", "Supertstjerne" and "Lovesong", written by Thomas. The EP was named "Echoes From the Asylum". The cover art is a drawing of a skeleton, which Thomas found in his mothers book about the Scottish psychologist R.D Laing. The publisher was Straitjacket Records, also made by Thomas.

Candlemass is a Swedish seminal Doom metal band established in the 1980s by Leif Edling (bass), its leader and songwriter. The band is originally from Stockholm.
After Leif Edling dissolved the band Nemesis, he started his own band under the name Candlemass (a possibly deliberate misspelling of Candlemas). The first Candlemass album was Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, released in 1986 and now considered a milestone in the Doom metal scene. Read more on Last.fm . Founded by self-proclaimed emperor of rock Nicke Andersson in Stockholm in 2009. (Previously active in The Hellacopters and Entombed)
The band mainly consist of Nicke Andersson, Dolf De Borst (The Datsuns), Tobias Egge (The Objects) and Tomas Eriksson (Captain Murphy). Nicke Anderssons good friend Dregen from Backyard Babies performed on Imperial State Electrics first album.
Imperial State Electric released their self-titled debut album in 2010. The album was released by Psychout Records.
