1) "Toy" is a London based five-piece formed in 2010, rising from the ashes of Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong. It is made of Tom Dougall (Vox/Guitars), Dominic O'Dair (Guitars), Maxim Barron (Bass/Vox), Alejandra Diez [2010-15] (Synthesizers/Modulation) and Charlie Salvidge (Drums/Vox). Max Oscarnold joined after Alejandra's departure. Toy's musical influences incorporate a wide range of genres including punk, early electronic music, psychedelia, post punk, krautrock, kosmische, post rock, musique concrete and folk to name a few. With the majority of 2010 spent writing, Toy played their first show at the Cave Club in Islington. From Sandviken in the north of Sweden comes lo-fi romantics YAST (Before the name stood for Youth And Student Travel). A bit naive, very loving and with dreamy melodies, Carl, Tobias and Marcus get help from Markus and Niklas, drummer and bass player from post punk act Aerial. Since 2004 they are based in Malmö, near Möllan. YAST will always be influenced by Yo La Tengo,Neil Young and Pavement but find inspiration in a variety of music and things.
