Mats Gustafsson (born 1964 in Umeå) is a Swedish saxophone player and a stalwart on the Scandinavian free jazz scene.
He first came to the attention of lovers of improvised music as part of a duo with Christian Munthe (started in 1986) and the band Gush (started in 1988). He has later played widely with musicians such as Peter Brötzmann, Joe McPhee, Paul Lovens, Barry Guy and Derek Bailey.
Since the early 1990s, Mats Gustafsson has been a regular visitor to the U.S., forming a particular affinity with Chicago musicians such as Hamid Drake, Michael Zerang and Ken Vandermark and recording for the city's OkkaDisk label.

1. Dan Berglund is an Swedish folk singer and guitarist, born in Helsinki, Finland in 1954. In the 70's he was affiliated with the Swedish Marxist-Leninist communist party (KPML(r)), but in '79 he turned his back on the party. He is most known for his album "En järnarbetares visor", released in 1975. He is still somewhat active and was again popularized when the Swedish left-wing punk/rock band EAK had at least one cover of his songs on each of their releases from the mid-90's to the last in 2000. Kullhammar has passed over the Swedish jazz scene like a proverbial whirlwind. In year 2000 he released his debut recording, the self-produced Salut. It won him Sweden Radio’s Jazz Cat as the newcomer of the year. He followed up his success with The Soul of Jonas Kullhammar, even this CD produced and distributed by himself.
