Brutus is a power trio forged in Leuven (BE) early 2014. Brutus sparked, ignited and took off instantaneous. The sparks channeled into highly energetic, but always catchy tunes. From dissonant noise rock, to brutal metal structures to almost fragile guitar sounds, Brutus covers and masters a vast array of different styles. All these influences are seamlessly blended into their own distinct sound: freaky guitar tones and pounding bass lines that are kept in check by the tightest singing female drummer we have ever encountered. Blues Pills are a Swedish rock band, formed in Örebro in 2011. The four piece released EPs and singles before signing up with German record label Nuclear Blast and releasing a successful self-titled debut album Blues Pills. The band released their second album Lady in Gold in August 2016.
History: Formation and EPs
In 2011, half-brothers Zack Anderson (bass) and Cory Berry (drums), formerly of Radio Moscow, were in Iowa and met singer Elin Larsson, who was staying in California. Together they recorded two demo tracks and published them on YouTube, after which label "Crusher Records" offered them a deal. Captain Crimson was formed in November 2011 in Örebro, Sweden and the members are: Andreas Eriksson on guitar, Michel Läth on drums, Anders Tallfors on bass guitar and Stefan Norén on guitar and vocals. Captain Crimson get their inspiration from bands such as Cactus, Leaf hound, Truth and Janey and Swedish November. Captain Crimson describes their music as heavy riff with a touch of blues. The music brought them together and in February 2012 they recorded their first album called Dancing Madly Backwards. The Swedish record label Transubstans records are giving out the album in the summer of 2012. Read more on Last.fm .
