"The Night Flight Orchestra" started like so many others as an innocent yet serious drunken idea when Björn Strid (Soilwork) and David Andersson (Mean Streak, session Soilwork) were on the road together somewhere in North America in 2007. Björn and David were bonding over what they considered "classic" or not, from rock n roll conspiracies to being arrested in a lobby with nothing but leather pants on. All those scenarios, fictional or real, needed a soundtrack. Outshine from Gothenburg, Sweden, is a heavy, melancholy, dark, hardrock/metal band with some grunge and gothic vibes. The band, or the concept of the band, was formed in the south of Sweden (Smålandsstenar/Gislaved) back in '95 by guitarist Jimmy Norberg.
The band started off more as a studio project and they recorded a few demos between '98-'04. An EP was recorded in '05 (Memories) that got great reviews, airtime in radio (USA, Sweden, France, etc) and got the band endorsements deals. The first full length album "Bad Things Always End Bad" was released in May '07.

The band was formed in 2005 when Fredrik Jordanius became sick and tired of ploughing through the underground metal scene with nothing to keep him company but a pair of tight leather jeans and more double bass drums and falsetto screams than he could stand.
He started searching for a new musical expression and in his long time friends Markus Johansson and Kristoffer Drotz he found the perfect combination to get a new band going, hence Egonaut was born!
