Misconduct started out when a group of guys living in the small Swedish town of Kristinehamn decided to form a band that would continue on the principles and values set forth by other hardcore bands existing in the late 80's, early 90's. The original lineup consisted of Fredrik "Ollo" Olsson (Vocals), Martin "Mört" Roed (Guitar), Daniel Andersson (Bass) & Jonas "J.C." Carlsson (Drums). The first version of Misconduct was formed in fall '95 and several months later they recorded their first and only demo "Like the old days", which was indeed old-school hardcore with their very own touch. The demo consisted of seven intense and very short tracks, which caught the attention of Bad Taste Records.

One day, Daniel had a vision. He was lying in his cold trench outside Stockholms gates, being trained to become a ruthless killingmachine. He looked back at the time when the music brought happiness to his life. Meanwhile in a little town called Ludvika in Dalecarlia, the school tired drummer Jimmy found himself trapped in his own misery. He felt that something was missing. Both Jimmy and Daniel looked back on the time in their old band Blacktears and thought of the solidarity and joy that only exists in a band. The Quill was formed in the early -90s in Sweden.
The original Lineup was formed by singer Magnus Ekwall, guitarist Christian Carlsson, drummer George Atlagic, Anders Haglund on Keyboard/Hammond and original bassist Peter Holm.
The lineup has changed a few times over the years with new bassplayers, and since 1997 Anders decided to leave. From that point the band have been a foursome and the current bassplayer is Robert Triches.
In their sound, which could be described as a modern 70's, one can find influences of bands like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin
