Covenant

There is more than one known artist who once went under the name Covenant:

1. Swedish electronic act Covenant was started by a group of friends in Helsingborg in western Sweden. Eskil Simonsson, Joakim Montelius, and Clas Nachmanson inspired by bands like Kraftwerk, The Human League, and by EBM pioneers Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb.
In university life in Lund southeast of Helsingborg they assembled a small recording studio in Nachmanson's bedroom and began to experiment with their own musical compositions. In 1989, the name "Covenant" was selected for the group, the name derived from the spiritual bond the trio professes to share.

Two Witches (FI)

Two Witches (originally called Noidat) is a Gothic rock band from Finland, formed in 1987 by Anne Nurmi & Jyrki Witch. In 1988 the band started to write songs and sing in English and changed their name from Noidat to Two Witches. The band's first release, 7" single Pimeyden Jousi came out in October from their own label called Darklands Records. After many different line-up's, Anne & Jyrki finally found Nauku & Toby. In 1992 their debut CD Agony of the Undead Vampire Part 2 came out via
Darklands. In October Anne, Jyrki, Nauku and Toby went to Germany for the "Undead Vampire" tour and they signed a recording deal with a German label called Talitha Records, a division on Music Research GMBH. In 1993 the first German release, The Vamp...

Malaise

There are multiple artists named Malaise: 1) a Swedish gothic rock band. 2) A Canadian black metal band. 3) A Portuguese folk punk band.

1) Malaise is a gothic rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. Started out in 1989 as an all-electronic one-man project with Martin Danielsson behind the knobs. The next few years produced bucketloads of more or less thought out demos. In 1991 Malaise contributed "We are Colliders" to the Memento Materia sampler Elementary '91, soon followed by more songs on the samplers Illuminative '92 and Autumn Leaves '93. In 1993 Martin teamed up with guitarist Robert Svärdh and drummer Johan Linder. The same year Malaise released the debut CD "Secession", a six-track mini CD.

Chaos Research

Chaos Research is electro-acoustic avant-garde act that combines elements from classical and electronic music and fuses them together with touches of German dark wave thrown in.

Chaos Research began in Berlin, Germany in October 2003 as an experimental side project of Marko "Gravehill" Hautamäki from such bands as Majesty, Two Witches, ex-SinMasters and ex-Shade Factory, among others. The musical style could be described as a combination of dark ambient, electronic and classical music. The initial idea for the project was to expand upon what Marko had done with his other bands, adding lots of new influences and aiming to create something new instead of following any current trends.
