Vomitory was a Swedish death metal band formed 1989 in Forshaga, Sweden by guitarist Urban Gustafsson and bassist Ronnie Olsson. Influenced by bands such as Sodom, Napalm Death, Slayer and Venom, the band released a total of eight albums, and were signed to Metal Blade Records. In February 2013 they announced that they will call it a day at the end of the year.

God Macabre

God Macabre were one of the first Swedish death metal bands along with peers Carnage and Entombed and as such are essential in the creation of Swedish death metal.

They were formed in the winter of 1988 as a grindcore band named Botten På Burken. In 1989 they switched to playing death metal and changed their name to Macabre End. They released a demo in September 1990 titled "Consumed by Darkness" which turned into an underground hit. Thereafter they changed their name once again to God Macabre.

In 1992 the band split up after Johansson and Nilsson left the band in 1991 and no suitable replacements could be found. Boder and Sjöberg formed the band Snake Machine which evolved into Space Probe Taurus. After the split...

General Surgery

General Surgery is a death metal/goregrind band that formed in 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden. The band is a side project of various members of Swedish Death Metal acts. The original line-up comprised of Richard Cabeza on vocals, Carbonised guitarist Jonas De Rouche, Grant McWilliams on bass and then Carbonised vocalist Matti Kärkki on drums. The project's first demo was titled 'Erosive Offals'.

McWilliams departed prior to the second demo 'Pestiferous Anthropophagia' in 1990. General Sugery's line-up then virtually disintegrated, leaving only Kärki remaining.
