Kylesa (US)

Kylesa is an American sludge metal band that was formed in Savannah, Georgia. Their music incorporates experimentalism with heavy riffs, drop-tuned guitars and elements of psychedelic rock. The group was established in 2001 by the former members of Damad, with the addition of guitar player Laura Pleasants who is from North Carolina. The band has since undergone line up changes; the remaining original members are Phillip Cope and Laura Pleasants. In 2006, the band added two drummers (Carl McGinley of Unpersons, from Savannah, and Jeff Porter). Eric Hernandez (of Capsule, from Miami) joined in 2008 to replace Porter. The dual drum tracks are often panned strongly to the right and left.

Sierra is a name of at least seven music entities:

[1] A passion-fuelled Mount Gambier, SA, Australia, melodic hardcore act who play music with meaning. Energy is infectious, and a valuable asset in captivating an audience, and this is what we aim to provide in all facets of this band, whether it be live performance and recordings, to our dealings with fellow musicians, industry representatives, and most importantly our friends/supporters.

The experiences we have been offered since this band formed in late 2010 have been both unexpected and overwhelming in nature, however the people we have met and places we have seen only further inspire us to grow as a collective and venture far from our regional setting.

Jagged Vision (NO)

Rising from the west coast of Norway comes Jagged Vision. Embracing the rawness of 90s hardcore and combining it with the heavy riffing of stoner rock, Jagged Vision has set out to destroy. Since their start in 2010, there has been no genre limitations, no rules, and no boundaries. Jagged Vision is a product of raw heavy emotion which is what they try to communicate through their songs and live performances. Their debut album Harvest Earth was recorded at The Jam Room Recording Studio in Columbia, S.C. and was produced by Kylesa’s Phillip Cope. Harvest Earth is Retro Futurist’s second release, slated to come out in February, 2014.
