Katatonia

There are multiple bands named Katatonia: 1) Swedish metal band. 2) Polish death/thrash metal band.

1) Katatonia is a Swedish metal band formed in Stockholm in 1991 by Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström. The bands music has doom metal elements and influences with their progressive metal style, noting the overall bleak melancholy and despair sound.

After more than a year of rehearsals and composing, the first real fruits of their labour came to light in mid 1992 with the release of the demo "Jhva Elohim Meth", recorded at Sweden's Gorysound Studio and produced by the multi-musician Dan Swanö. Bolt Thrower (UK)

One of the world's most consistent and enduring death metal bands, Coventry's Bolt Thrower has weathered the best and worst of times in the genre's history without giving in to commercial temptations or altering its sound. As of September 14th, 2016, Bolt Thrower is no more.

Taking their name from a weapon in one of their favorite tabletop miniatures games, Warhammer 40k, they drafted vocalist Alan W...

In 2005 the delayed “The Ascending Dead”-demo was released. The demo hadn’t been out for long when Zombie Ritual Tapes contacted us and wanted to release it, and so they did. The recordings of an EP took place and the result was the, once again delayed, “Putrid Rebirth” 7”. It was released by the mighty Blood Harvest Records. As for now...
