Nils Landgren

With his smoking, hard-hitting "Funk Unit", the man with the Red Horn has been responsible for a bunch of successful CDs over the past years. His concerts from Stockholm to Beijing have been met with ecstatic acclamation. In duo with pianist Esbjörn Svensson, he has elevated Swedish folk music to the level of subdued works of art. As the artistic director of the 2001 Berlin Jazz Festival, designed a state of the art presentation of Scandinavian trends and moods. In May 2002 Nils was honored with the "Tore Ehrling prize" by the Swedish Society Of Popular Composers for "His outstanding contribution to spread swedish jazz music around the globe".

Viktoria Tolstoy

Viktoria Tolstoy (born 1974, née Kjellberg) is a Swedish jazz singer who is said to have never taken a single singing class. She is the daughter of Erik Kjellberg, and the great-great-granddaughter of Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy.

Her debut album was 1994's Smile, Love and Spice. She followed that with the release of För Älskad in 1996. Pop-influenced and recorded in Swedish, the album firmly established her as a household name in Sweden.

To date, she has released eight albums, her latest being My Russian Soul (2008). Of particular note among these is Pictures of Me (2006), which features music written by artists like Jacob Karlzon, Lars Danielsson, Prince, Paul Simon, Seal, Stevie Wonder, Peter Gabriel, Van Morriss...

The Bohuslän Big Band is a modern jazz ensemble from Sweden which started as a military orchestra in the 19th century. They play original music as well as compositions by Lars Jansson, Maria Schneider, Frank Zappa among others.
