Blasterjaxx (NL)

Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, better known as producer/deejay duo Blasterjaxx in the music industry, are anything but the same. While one is often prominent and empowering, the other prefers staying quietly in the background - a fairly high contrast in character. However, there is one significant reason for the phenomenal connection between these two personalities: their passion and love of music.

Mid 2010, Thom Jongkind - then operating by the name of Scalix - decided to set up a DJ duo named Blasterjaxx together with another producer at the time. Thom quickly noticed that huge steps were taken in the field of productions and that the range towards their audience was constantly increasing. Nevertheless, the personal chemist...

Wasted Penguinz

It all started late 2006 when Pontuz & Jon met each other for the very first time. They only had contact over the internet before they met in person. It was Pontuz who asked Jon if he wanted to come to his place and produce some music over the weekend. Funny thing is that Pontuz & Jon used to hate eachother, they were rivals "production-wise". Always competing who was the most talented producer. Now they're best friendz & producing almost everything together. Helping eachother out with new ideaz.

It wasn't always about hardstyle for Pontuz & Jon. Before they started producing hardstyle they we're into "hands-up/cheesy-dance" music. It was the track "Scantraxx Rootz" who made them open up their eyes and ears for the harder styl...

Bass Modulators (NL)

Bass Modulators is a cooperation between Roland Evers and Rick Buijtenhek which started in 2006.
Two friends since high school, both with a great passion for music, started their musical career both in their own way. Rick began to produce mostly trance and hardtrance music at the age of 17. Roland had a passion for the turntables and became a DJ at that age. In the beginning he played multiple styles from trance, hardtrance till hardstyle, and a few years later he started to focus especially on the harder styles. He also started to produce music by himself from that moment.

In the meanwhile Rick also began to produce more hardstyle and that was the point where the cooperation really started. They both shared a passion for...

Ran-d

From the moment he first laid eyes on a guy behind the turntables on a big rave, he knew that that’s where he wanted to be some day. He bought my first pair of tables back in ’99 and he just couldn’t stop spinning. He always had a thing for the harder styles in music, so when hardstyle was born he loved it right away. He played with histables every day and night, trying to perfect his skills, and in 2001, he got the first small performances.

After a while he felt that only spinning tracks from other producers just didn’t satisfy him anymore. He had a lot of ideas and creativity that he was dying to let out, so he started producing somewhere in 2003.

When he accidentally switched record bags with some guys at a gig...
