Marcel Fengler's musical influences present themselves double tracked. His early teenager years are stamped by HipHop from crews like NWA, Gang Starr and A Tribe called Quest, who have been his undisputed heroes. Even today, Fengler spins some HipHop, but only in private. His interest in electronic music on the other hand has been inspired by continuous experiences in Berlin based techno clubs like E-Werk in the early 90s. Mikael got his interest in music at an early age. After a few years of frenetic banging on the family kitchen ware, his parents didn´t see any way out except to buy him a toy drum-set.
As time went on, Mikael joined various bands as a drummer, and occationally also as a guitar player.
When the club scene finally entered Stockholm as a part of the underground movement, Mikael´s interest for the electronic music grew bigger. The range of parties were slim, and a lot of the events were unauthorized by the majority and therefor hidden away outdoors in forests and fields.

Schmutz is a New-Wave/Synthpop band from Neeroeteren, Belgium.
They had some minor hits in the 80s in Belgium. Their greatest hit is 'Lovegames' which was later re-used for the single 'In my mind' by Paris Avenue.
The band consisted of: Carlo Peeters (Vocals) Guy Peeters (keys), Johan Tyskens (bass), Jo Exelmans (guitar), Jos Claessens (guitar) and Marcel Vermeulen (drums).
