Anna Ternheim

Anna Alexandra Ternheim (born in Stockholm, Sweden on 31 May 1978) is a Swedish singer-songwriter who performs in English.

She released her début album Somebody Outside in 2004. The Swedish Grammy jury awarded her as Best Newcomer of the year, and was nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Lyricist and Best Songwriter of 2005. She also won the P3 Gold award for Best Newcomer 2004.

For her second album, Separation Road released on September 27, 2006, she was awarded Best Female Artist and Best Lyricist of the Swedish Grammy jury, again she was nominated for Best Songwriter and Best Album. She received the award for Best Female Artist at the Swedish National Radio's P3 Gold Awards the same year.

Markus Krunegård

Markus Krunegård, born April 6, 1979 in Norrköping, Östergötland, is a Swedish singer. He is known as the lead singer of the pop band Laakso and has also been a member of HETS!. He has appeared on Johnossi's album All They Ever Wanted (2008) and Eldkvarn's album Hunger Hotell (2008). He has also taken part in a song Det kommer bara leda till nåt ont by swedish band Säkert!.

In April 2008 Krunegård's solo album Markusevangeliet was released. In summer of 2008 he became the first artist to play at Hultsfredsfestivalen for three years in a row in three different bands: HETS! (2006), Laakso (2007) and solo (2008).

Just a few years ago, the term Swedish pop was more or less synonymous with the 1960s: chipper hooks, throwback arrangements, turtlenecks, and soft-focus album covers. But in a very short time, the country's indie output-- at least as perceived from these shores-- seems to have advanced two decades, with acts like the Legends and Pacific! finding inspiration in the sounds of the early 1980s. In this regard, Jonathan Johansson is a new romantic, but not necessarily a New Romantic.
