Amaranthe is a Swedish/Danish band, originated from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 2008 that fuses melodic metal with pop melodies. Formed by Jake E (Dreamland, Dream Evil) and Olof Mörck (Dragonland, Nightrage), the project began taking shape, when singers Elize Ryd (toured with Kamelot) and Andreas Solvestrom (Cipher System, Within Y), signed on, as did drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (The Cleansing, Koldborn, Mercenary). Bassist Johan Andreassen (Engel) joined after the photoshoot for the Leave Everything Behind demo but before the recording of the first album Amaranthe.

Sweden's Electric Boys were one of the first and most celebrated purveyors of the short-lived funk metal phenomenon of the late '80s and early '90s. Led by charismatic singer and guitarist Conny Bloom and with a splash of beatle-esque pop-psychedelia, the quartet garnered rave reviews and built an impressive following in Europe & America. Their creative juices were also quickly spent, causing the band to disintegrate into obscurity after only three albums.
In 1988, Conny Bloom formed Electric Boys with bassist Andy Christell in Stockholm. After scoring a significant domestic hit with their first single, "All Lips 'N' Hips," the group completed their line-up with guitarist Franco Santunione and powerhouse drummer Niclas Sigeval...
Plan Three is a post-grunge band formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1999 by singer Jacob Lovén, guitarists Tommie Hammar and Mathias Garneij, drummer Andreas Malm and bassist Mattias Willis. After some years, the bands long-time producer and songwriter David Clewett was recruited to the band's official personnel as synth player and background vocalist.
They are influenced by the American alternative rock/post-grunge scene as well as electronic and classical music, the combination of which gives the band their unique sound.
In mid-2006, Mattias left the band after they had decided to alter their sound from pop inspired 90's rock to a harder type of rock. Bandit Rock radio host Peter Kjellin replaced Mattias as bassist.
