General Surgery

General Surgery is a death metal/goregrind band that formed in 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden. The band is a side project of various members of Swedish Death Metal acts. The original line-up comprised of Richard Cabeza on vocals, Carbonised guitarist Jonas De Rouche, Grant McWilliams on bass and then Carbonised vocalist Matti Kärkki on drums. The project's first demo was titled 'Erosive Offals'.

McWilliams departed prior to the second demo 'Pestiferous Anthropophagia' in 1990. General Sugery's line-up then virtually disintegrated, leaving only Kärki remaining. K-X-P (FI)

K-X-P is a rock trio consisting of Timo Kaukolampi and Tuomo Puranen of Op:l Bastards fame and Anssi Nykänen, a weathered session drummer. The main reference of their hypnotic music is krautrock from 40 years back, but they do throw in a few afrobeat rhythms, ominously cinematic keyboard sound walls, hippy Middle Eastern melodies and some dancey pulse. Kaukolampi’s idiosyncratic singing style has been sorely missed, although it comes only in small doses this time. Here and there you can also make out the distant breathy vocals of Norwegian pop princess Annie. Read more on . “Ruling nations in a clever disguise / The ring of power / The all-seeing eye / Something wicked going on inside / This hemisphere of shadows,” Danava vocalist/guitarist/synth man Gregory Meleney sings on the album’s power-rocking title track. Meleney describes Hemisphere of Shadows as a guitar-driven beast that c...

Räjäyttäjät (FI)

The relatively unpronounceable Räjäyttäjät formed on 6 January, 2011 in Jyväskylä, Finland. Räjäyttäjät means exploders/blasters/demolition experts or something like that in Finnish, but people call them Räjä. Räjäyttäjät räjäyttää!! (the first 7" vinyl) just came out in time for New Year, 2012, and they are still exploding live to this day, wherever their services are needed.
RÄJÄYTTÄJÄT are Alex Reed (drums, vox), Jukka Nousiainen (lead vox, guitar), and Mikko Siltanen (bass, vox). Although their names have also been Muuni, Bäddäd Reed, Sisse, Rock Siltanen, Rapa, and Villisika among others. The personnel have nonetheless remained the same.

First releases were on cassette: "Räjä & Roll All Night Long" and "Jytä Menot Pä...
