Død started his musical career in the legendary Norwegian black metal band Satyricon. 19 years old he was picked out to be their live guitarist from 1996 to 1999. Playing black metal in Satyricon, there were never a question, death metal was Død's major passion and in 1998 he started working on material for his own death metal band. His friend Tchort (Emperor, Carpathian Forest), who also played bass in Satyricon, shared the same passion and Blood Red Throne was officially a band.
Shortly after, the young and talented bass player Erlend Caspersen was found and the search for a drummer and singer could start! There weren't any suitable drummers around in our hometown at that time, but after a while we got in touch with Freddy Bolsø,...
The Crown is a death/thrash metal band formed in Trollhättan, Sweden in 1990. Their original moniker (until 1998) was Crown of Thorns for the band's first two albums, which had to be changed due to another band already using that name.
Their music and lyrics are inspired by death, anti-religion themes (mostly targeting Christianity) and rebellion. They are known to fuse death metal with thrash influences.
The Crown disbanded in 2004. Lindstrand went on to form One Man Army and the Undead Quartet. Tervonen and Saarenpää formed Angel Blake, named after a song by Danzig. Despite having broken up they made one last release as a tribute to their fans. A triple DVD set containing live shows, and bootlegs.
Formed in 2004 in Athens, Greece, Dead Congregation focus on lacking aspects in today’s death metal bands/releases: feeling, spirit, atmosphere and quality. Since forming, they have released 2 full-length albums, 2 EPs and a split 7" with Hatespawn. They also run their own record label, Martyrdoom Productions and are associated with Norma Evangelium Diaboli. Their most recent album, Promulgation of the Fall, was released in 2014. Their EP 'Sombre Doom' was released in November 2016.
The band is highly praised for their live performances, having shared the stage with many well-established metal acts including Sodom, Interment, Deströyer 666, Incantation, Grave Miasma, Primordial, Gorgoroth, Watain and many others.
A) Old school death metal band from Sweden. In the vein of the Swedish gods Entombed and Dismember, etc. Started out in the end of 1990 but were never satisfied with their demo recordings and never released anything. The band eventually died out but was resurrected by Jimmy in 2008. In his own words: "I was too nostalgic and said to myself that: Now, many years after the band died, my old songs must be recorded and a demo shall be made, so I started the band again on my own".
