Andreas Tilliander's TM404 project – with tracks recorded in real time and no work done in post – is a tribute to a handful of genre-defining Roland drum machines from the 1980's (the 202, 303, 606, 707 and 808). As evidenced by the self-explanatory track labeling, his output solely makes use of the aforementioned hardware, which was pivotal to the development of acid house and techno. Yet he avoids fetishizing its squelchy synth sounds by conjuring up polyrhythmic, hypnotic dub melodies, which he refers to as "somnolent acid". Read more on Last.fm . Rrose came to the attention of the worldwide techno scene in 2011 after the release of three EPs and an album on the Sandwell District label. Densely textured and experimental yet wholly at home on the dancefloor, Rrose’s music channels the spirit of techno’s roots while injecting influences from pre-techno electronic music and the avant-garde. Other identifying features include a focus on the tactile qualities of sound and the integration of gradual, interconnected transformations of material. LCC (acronym of Las CasiCasiotone) are Ana Quiroga and Uge Pañeda, who hail from the Asturias region of northern Spain, and are now based in Gijon.
Since 2010, they have been involved in different artistic projects, focusing above all on sound design and music production. After making appearances in several festivals and international art centers, in 2013, they make the soundtrack for the documentary Ciutat Morta, and, at the end of that year, they won the famous contest Villa de Bilbao, in the Alternative category. Furthermore, in March of 2014 they won an AMAS award in the Best Electronic Production category.
May 2014 saw the release of their full length album d/evolution on Editions Mego, which explores "paradox ...
