Mikael Rickfors was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1948. From 1968 he was the lead singer and bass guitaristist in popular Swedish band Bamboo. The band released two singles before breaking up in 1970. Rickfors would later join the British rock group The Hollies.
In 1972 Rickfors joined popular British rock group The Hollies as a replacement for lead singer Allan Clarke who had left to pursue a solo career. Rickfors soon achieved an international hit as his first single with the group The Baby reached no. 26 in the UK as well as charting in various other territories. Rogefeldt made his breakthrough in the late 1960s with albums such as Ja, dä ä dä and Pughish. Unlike most other Swedish pop musicians who wanted to achieve international success, he sang in Swedish. One song which is commonly associated with Rogefeldt is Små lätta moln. Other major hits include Här kommer natten, Föräldralåten, Hog Farm, Dinga Linga Lena and Stockholm. In the 1970s, he toured with this band Rainrock, together with Ola Magnell and Janne Lucas Persson. A live double LP was released from this tour, entitled Ett steg till.
In the early 1990s, he was also a member of Grymlings, alongside Göran Lagerberg, Mikael Rickfors and Magnus Lindberg.
Very good south-Swedish singer, born 1954, broke through in the 70s with his comp band Raj Montana Band.
