The Burning Hell (CA)

The Burning Hell is the alter-ego of songwriter and ukulele-slinger Mathias Kom. Loosely based in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, The Burning Hell has toured back and forth across Canada and Europe since 2007, playing everywhere from festivals to bars to living rooms - and once even a mental asylum in rural France. The band has garnered acclaim for their hyperactive live shows and their caustic yet sincere lyrics, believing as they do that songs about the inevitability of death can also be fun to dance to. Stars in Coma

Stars in Coma is the brainchild of songwriter and producer André Brorsson. Since its formation in 2006, this Swedish band has released a prolific stream of albums and EPs, and toured several countries in Europe. Brorsson's home-cooked productions draw inspiration from a variety of genres, including guitar rock, disco, funk and semi-electronic pop. The band shares kinship with weirdo-poppers such as of Montreal and Ariel Pink, but it is also possible to pick up melodious echoes from British bands Belle & Sebastian and The Smiths.
