1) Infest was an influential American hardcore punk band, formed in Valencia, CA, suburb of Los Angeles, from 1986 to 1996. They were instrumental in pioneering powerviolence, a musical cross-breeding of hardcore and youth-crew. Members were Joe Denunzio (vocals), Matt Domino (guitar), Dave Ring (bass) and Chris Clift (drums).
The band , while not coining the term powerviolence, were definitely pioneers of it. Wolfbrigade (formerly Wolfpack) are a d-beat/crust punk band from Sweden featuring members of Asta Kask, To What End?, Today's Overdose, Cosa Nostra, Anti-Cimex, Obscure Infinity and Harlequin. Former singer Jonsson was forced to leave the band in 1998 because, as the band said, the situation had become "intolerable." They later recruited their current singer, Micke, who was a childhood friend of Erik,Jocke and Frank and went on to record vocals in Allday Hell. At around the same time, they changed their name from Wolfpack to avoid association with a Swedish neo-Nazi organization who shared the name. Career Suicide have made a name for themselves playing purist hardcore punk influenced by the genre's pioneers as well as drawing heavily on influences spanning first wave punk and savage 60's garage from North America and the UK. Guitarist Jonah Falco also plays drums in Fucked Up and is a one-man band called Mad Men.

Citizens Arrest was a hardcore punk band from New York, USA that existed from 1988-1990. Their music catalog consists of some comp tracks, an EP (A Light in the Darkness) followed by an LP (Colossus) released shortly after the group had disbanded. According to the former members, a discography CD is said be be coming out soon. The band consisted of Daryl Kahan on vocals, Janis Cakars on guitar, Joseph Martin on bass, and Patrick Winter on drums. Influences by bands like Siege, Negative FX, and SOA, Citizens Arrest played numerous times despite being around for only a couple years. Their music was a mix of hardcore bordering on thrash complimented by gruff vocals that made them sound like they were a Japanese band like S.O.B. or Gauze.
