Alessandro Cortini is an Italian electronic musician. Cortini has created remarkable, brooding work out of nothing. He creates a rich and dreamlike sonic universe of surprisingly emotional sound scapes and textures.
Cortini is known for touring as the keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails from 2004 to 2008 and again from 2013. He is the frontman for the Los Angeles based electronic-alternative band Modwheelmood and was the rhythm guitarist for The Mayfield Four from 2000 to 2002. Recently, Alessandro started a new project under the name Blindoldfreak. He released an album called 1, and has done a canadian tour.
Cortini was born in Bologna, but raised in Forlì. Cortini moved from Italy to the United States to study guitar at the Musi...
Hailing from Finland, Aleksi Perälä's career in electronic music began in the mid-80s when discovered the wonders of acid-house. However, his real epiphany came later in 1993 when he first heard the music of Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin whilst in Michigan, USA, as an exchange student. Unsurprisingly, the influences of that master of avant-garde electronica shine through on "Project V" as Perälä takes us through his latest creations.
Aleksi has also previously made music under the monikers Ovuca and Astrobotnia. Read more on Last.fm . User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
Charlemagne Palestine (born Charles Martin or Chaim Moshe Tzadik Palestine 15 August 1945 or 1947, in Brooklyn, New York) is a visual artist, composer and performer in the minimalist movement of the 60's and 70's (along with Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Terry Riley).
He disappeared from the music scene in the late 70's and didn't return until the early 90's. Read more on Last.fm . User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
Avalon Emerson is a producer and DJ based in San Francisco. Though she currently spends her days working as a software engineer (and previously paid the bills as a fashion photographer), it's her talent for music making that caught the attention of the ICEE HOT crew. Granted, Avalon has pretty much been a regular on the ICEE HOT dancefloor since the party began, although her involvement in the city's club scene certainly didn't stop there. Some of her first DJ gigs took place at clandestine warehouse parties—which Avalon herself often had a hand in throwing—and she's recently started up a new monthly called Play It Cool with a few of her closest confidantes. Like most artists, Avalon's tastes aren't limited to one particular corner of th...
