Dark Tranquillity were formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1989 by Mikael Stanne and Niklas Sundin as Septic Broiler before changing their name in 1991. They are considered to be one of the earliest pioneers of the Gothenburg melodic death metal style.
They have kept a mostly consistent line-up. Anders Jivarp has played drums since joining the band shortly after its formation, with Anders Fridén and Martin Henriksson. Rhythm guitarist Mikael Stanne switched to vocals after Anders Fridén's departure. When his predecessor Fredrik Johansson left in 1998, bassist Martin Henriksson took up guitar duties and Michael Nicklasson came in on bass shortly before the recording of Haven. Kreator is a thrash metal band from Essen, Germany. They originally started under the name Metal Militia, later Tyrant and Tormentor, finally Kreator. Starting their career in 1982, they played Thrash Metal with Venom influences. Their style of music is similar to their compatriots Destruction and Sodom, the other two big Teutonic Thrash Metal bands from Germany. All three of these bands are often credited with helping create Death Metal.
Kreator's work has been consistently in the vein of pure thrash, with the exception of four albums (Renewal, Cause for Conflict, Outcast and Endorama) during the 1990s when they undertook serious experimentation. Incorporating Industrial, Gothic and Avant-Garde elements into their sound, the ...

Initially they considered Albatros a hobby project, but after five years the members began taking their music more seriously and had grown dissatisfied with the direction their sound had taken. When Albatros broke up, Nilsson and Edlund decided that for their next venture, they would...
Punk/metal oriented band from the redneck society of Gnarp, in the middle of Sweden. With lyrics often bringing up themes like religion, narcotics and sexuality, spiced with a large quantity of humor - they have established themselves as a modern classic, as the like of them have never been seen before on the scene.
In the year of 2005, they entered the scene at Hultsfred Festival in Småland, Sweden, for the first time in approximately 7 years. They entered the scene while throwing toilet brushes out in the crowd. The Kristet Utseende say that their genre of music is "Narcotic Gay Metal", which is a well-known genre for people who listen to the Murderjunkies. Read more on Last.fm . Degradead took their chance and went down to Gothenburg and recorded their debut "Til Death Do Us Apart" in IF Studios. Result of the recordings is a piece of Melodic Death Metal finding the perfect balance between Death Metal, Thrash Metal and catchy melodies, with their already very own signature.
