Sofia Karlsson (born 1975 in Enskede, Sweden), is a Swedish folk singer.
Sofia Karlsson grew up in Enskede, Stockholm. She attended the Folk music dept. of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Between 1998 and 2002 she was a full time member in Swedish folk music act Groupa. In 2002 she released her debut solo album “Folk songs”.
In 2005 she made her public breakthrough with her second album “Svarta ballader” (Black ballads). The album contains her interpretations of the Swedish poet Dan Andersson. The album was in the charts for more than a year and has to date sold 60.000 copies and was rewarded with a Swedish as well as a Danish Grammy.

Lena Willemark was born in 1960 in the village of Evertsberg, Sweden, which is situated in the province of Dalecarlia. The heritage of folk music lies deeply enrooted in Lena's music. She plays the violin and has become the best-known interpreter of traditional folk music in Sweden. In the early Eighties while at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm she became involved with jazz singing and the combination of the two music styles has made her one of this country's most unique artists. She has worked with such groups as Frifot, Entell, Elise Einarsdotter Ensemble and the award-winning group Nordan together with Ale Möller. Esbjörn Hazelius is a Swedish musician from Skåne, in the south of Sweden. Esbjörn has during many years been a member of the band Quilty and Eitre. He has also worked with musicians such as Sofia Karlsson, Malin Foxdal and Johan Hedin, among others.
Esbjörn released his first solo album, May 2009, Blunda Och Du Ska Få Se, where he plays and sings folk music in Swedish, inspired by Irish, Swedish and American ancient music. Read more on Last.fm .
