Peru (UK)

More than one band has used the name 'Peru'. The British indiepop one is active and the Dutch synth band is not.

1) PERU are a guitar pop band from Derby/Nottingham (England) playing C86-style indiepop from 1992-96 and have reformed to perform live in 2010. They originally released on Shelflife, Waaaah, Meller Welle and released the album 'Across Blue Skies' on Jigsaw Records in 2010. An Ep on Dufflecoat Records is planned for 2011.

2) PERU was a Dutch Synthesizer band, started in 1979 with Peter Kommers and Ruud van Es. They used their first names to make the name of the band. Rob Rapen also joined the band and also Jos van de Dungen was involved in this project.

The Kick Inside (UK)

The Kick Inside formed in Bristol, England during 2007. The group consists of Sean (vocals), Thomas (Electric Guitar), Jim (Bass Guitar) and Alex (Drums).

Having self released two demonstration cds over 2007 and 2008 the band released the 7" single 'Oh, Vanity!' with Oddbox Records in May 2009.
