1 - Caliban, a melodic death metal/metalcore band, was formed in Germany in 1997 under the name Never Again. After 6 months of playing together, the band recorded their first two songs for a compilation, which was never released. The songs were sent to several record labels, and Lifeforce Records was the first to offer the band a record deal. The band's first self-titled MCD came out in the summer of 1998. To promote the CD, Caliban played many shows all over Europe and a few support shows for bands like Morning Again, Earth Crisis, and Cro-Mags.

All Shall Perish is a deathcore quintet from Oakland, California formed in 2002, and are consistently cited by critics as one of the best bands in the genre. All Shall Perish combines various genres, including death metal, deathgrind and metalcore. Since 2005, All Shall Perish have delivered three records off of Nuclear Blast. The debut album, Hate, Malice, Revenge, was originally released by Japanese record label Amputated Vein Records in 2003. In 2005, it was re-released by Nuclear Blast and since then has received mostly underground acclaim. In 2006, The Price of Existence was released to largely positive critical reaction. The first single, "Eradication", was made into a video and is played on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball.
We Butter the Bread with Butter is a German metalcore (formerly deathcore) band from Lübben (Brandenburg), Germany. Founded in 2007, the founding member Marcel Neumann was originally the guitarist in Martin Kesici's band. The band creates a very unique form of deathcore that incorporates electronic and symphonic elements. Almost all of the songs by the duo are covers of German nursery rhymes. They claim to draw influence from Waking The Cadaver, Annotations of an Autopsy and Job For A Cowboy.

Winds Of Plague is a Symphonic Deathcore band from LA, USA. The band was originally named "Bleak December", but changed their name in April 2005, getting their name from the lyrics in Unearth's song "Endless", from their 2002 EP of the same name.
The band contains the heavy breakdowns and stance towards music of the new wave of deathcore bands, but their unique use of more epic, melodic keyboard driven passages put them in the front of the pack.
