The Hives

The Hives are a garage rock band from Fagersta, Sweden that emerged in the US and the UK in the early 2000s, but existed for nearly a decade before that, playing punk rock.

Patricia Lee "Patti" Smith (born December 30, 1946) is an American singer, poet and visual artist who was a highly influential component of the New York punk rock movement, particularly with her 1975 début album 'Horses'. Called the "Godmother of Punk", she integrated the beat poetry performance style with three-chord rock. Smith's most widely known song is "Because the Night", which was co-written with Bruce Springsteen and reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. In 2007, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Icona Pop

Icona Pop are a Swedish duo who were formed in 2009, with electro house, punk and indie pop music influences. The two members, Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, who grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, wanted to create music "which you can both laugh and cry with at the same time". They signed to TEN Music Group in 2009.

In late 2010, their song "Manners" was featured on Kitsuné Maison Compilation 10. "Manners" was later released as their debut single in 2011. Lars Winnerbäck

Lars Winnerbäck is one of the most popular Swedish singers/songwriters of the last decade. He started off with a folk-pop sound but moved towards rock in the late 90's. In his most recent work he has again moved towards a more acoustic style. Originally from Linköping, he later moved to Stockholm to help his career take off. Both cities are frequently featured in the lyrics of his songs.

Anna Ternheim

Anna Alexandra Ternheim (born in Stockholm, Sweden on 31 May 1978) is a Swedish singer-songwriter who performs in English.

She released her début album Somebody Outside in 2004. The Swedish Grammy jury awarded her as Best Newcomer of the year, and was nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Lyricist and Best Songwriter of 2005. She also won the P3 Gold award for Best Newcomer 2004.

For her second album, Separation Road released on September 27, 2006, she was awarded Best Female Artist and Best Lyricist of the Swedish Grammy jury, again she was nominated for Best Songwriter and Best Album.
