Chelsea Wolfe (US)

Chelsea Wolfe is a singer/songwriter and eponymous full band started in 2009 out of Los Angeles, California. Her style has been described as "doom folk", and her music has been described as a "specific brand of drone-metal-art-folk".

Inspired by the dark state of the world and the strange connection between all things, she creates a unique musical blend of goth-folk, experimental rock and spiritual realm funeral songs. With influences ranging from the great minds of Ingmar Bergman and David Lynch, to soviets and end-times literature, her songs conjure visions of other dimensions, claustrophobic echo-rooms and parking garage cathedrals.

raised in a whorehouse by drunk dockworkers in a town called christ's gasoline, they were born with only one arm between them and grew up selling sand to sailors and wrestling vermin and wives for the amusement of the locals. the rest of their upbringing is steeped in myth and told mostly in sea shanties, according to legend they escaped on a raft made of old cramps and doo rag 45s using john lee hooker and pussy galore vinyl to paddle themselves to more familiar shores.

The Megaphonic Thrift is a Norwegian indie-supergroup of sorts consisting of Richard Myklebust of Stereo21 and Young Dreams, Linn Frøkedal and Njål Clementsen of Low Frequency In Stereo and Fredrik Vogsborg of Casiokids and Young Dreams.
