Throughout his career, his lyrical content has chiefly dealt with social and political issues from a leftist viewpoint. In the 1970s, Wiehe was one of the lead singers and the leading songwriter of Hoola Bandoola Band.
After the split of the group in 1975, he was the leader of various other bands before becoming a solo artist in the beginning of the 1980s. He was a close friend of the late Björn Afzelius, the other lead singer of Hoola Bandoola Band. They sometimes toured around Scandinavia and recorded together in the 1980s and 90s. Sofia Karlsson (born 1975 in Enskede, Sweden), is a Swedish folk singer.
Sofia Karlsson grew up in Enskede, Stockholm. She attended the Folk music dept. of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Between 1998 and 2002 she was a full time member in Swedish folk music act Groupa. In 2002 she released her debut solo album “Folk songs”.
In 2005 she made her public breakthrough with her second album “Svarta ballader” (Black ballads). The album contains her interpretations of the Swedish poet Dan Andersson. The album was in the charts for more than a year and has to date sold 60.000 copies and was rewarded with a Swedish as well as a Danish Grammy.

Hellstrand was one of the members in progressive rock band Dimmornas Bro from 1978 to 1982. From 1983 to circa 1989 he was the singer, guitarist and songwriter in SH!.
He made his solo debut with the album Hemlös in 1989. Here, Hellstrand sang poems written by loved Swedish poet Dan Andersson. Among Hellstrand's solo albums Eld (1992), Pascha Jims dagbok (1996) and Elektriska gatan (2004) has recieved the best reviews.
